The EDP can be relied upon to be unreliable.

Steve Uncles had yet another political scoop on his Blog yesterday regarding the Doncaster Mayoral election;

“English Democrats “Out Poll” UKIP 20 to 1 in Doncaster Postal Vote Returns ……
Posted by English Passport on April 28, 2013 •

English Democrats “Out Poll” UKIP 20 to 1 in Doncaster Postal Vote Returns ……
English Passport has reliably been informed that at the Doncaster Postal Vote opening sessions, the English Democrats are out polling UKIP on a ration of over 20-1.
This is very encouraging not only for Doncaster, but also for the rest of England”.

We wondered who Mr. Uncles’ reliable informer was in this instance and why UKIP were doing so badly.

After many hours of pouring over the statistics and telephoning various people who may have a ‘take’ on this issue England Watch has arrived at a possible reason for such a huge disparity between the EDP vote and that of UKIP.

Please bear with us as it is a rather complicated explanation as to why the EDP has so many more postal votes than UKIP.

Here goes!
UKIP is not standing in this election and the party name is not on the ballot paper.

Mr Uncles seems not to have bothered to check his facts before posting his encouraging news, again.

PS. Is it a criminal offence to divulge electoral information before the officially designated hour?

English Democrats Lose over 500 members in eleven Days?

Whether it is the scandal over the ‘bogus’ candidate(s) in Kent, the almost total lack of candidates outside of the Thames-side counties or some other reason Mr Tilbrook seems to have confirmed that Membership is falling at an alarming rate.

On the 10th April he posted an article on his Blog regarding UKIP membership.

http://robintilbrook.blogspot.co.uk/2013/04/how-large-is-paid-up-membership-of.html#comment-form

Seven days later, in reply to a comment regarding EDP membership he stated.

Robin Tilbrook17 April 2013 20:39

Not at all our accounts, just about to be published, show that we have over 3,500 paid up members – and growing!

Just 11 days later, on the 28th April in an article he had published in The Backbencher;

http://thebackbencher.co.uk/english-democrats-the-principal-english-nationalist-party/

He says;
The English Democrats are the principal English Nationalist Party and which has grown organically from our launch in August 2002 to nearly 3,000 members.

England Watch realises that such a drastic loss of members may not actually be the case, it is more than likely that Mr Tilbrook hasn’t got a clue as to how many, or few, members his party has and just throws out a figure.

It is just embarrassing for him and the party that he seems unable to remember which figure he used just 11 days earlier!

Mr Uncles blames it all on a Mythical UKIP Group!

Steve Uncles, Chairman of the English Democrats Party South East Region, has blamed the furore over a possibly bogus EDP candidate as an April Fool joke by ‘UKIP Black Ops Unit’.

The row concerns one Anna Cleves EDP candidate for Malling Central Division on Kent CC.

Anna Cleves’ forms were signed by ‘Adam West’ this is the name of an actor who played Batman on TV. In the Batman & Robin stories Batman controls Robin and on the internet Steve Uncles and Robin Tilbrook are often referred to as ‘Batman & Robin’.

The fact of the matter is that Steve Uncles did ‘agree’ to be Ms Cleves agent.

APPOINTMENT OF ELECTION AGENTS
NAME AND ADDRESS OF CANDIDATE
Anna Cleves
Elm Cottage, Oakfield Lane, Dartford, Kent, DA1 2TF

NAME AND ADDRESS OF OFFICE TO WHICH CLAIMS
AND OTHER DOCUMENTS MAY BE SENT
Mr Steven Uncles
!!!!! !!!!!, !, Shears Close, Wilmington, Dartford, Kent, DA1 2!!

Reportedly Mr Uncles has said that he knows that the address on Ms Cleves nomination forms was demolished and replaced by 5 houses, including his own!

Did he not notice the address when he agreed to be ‘her’ election agent?

Mr Uncles said: “As far as I’m aware, the papers that were submitted to me, that was the actual lady’s name, but I think this is a sting.”

He may have accepted that it was her actual name but the address should have rung alarm bells.

Mr Uncles obligingly posted statements for all 23 EDP candidates plus 2 New England Party candidates on his Blogs.

Anna Cleves had two versions, in the first ‘she’ seemed rather confused about ‘her’ name and gender;

Here in version 1.

Anna Cleve – Malling Central – Tonbridge and Malling District
Anna joined the English Democrats following inappropriate advances from party officials in UKIP. She believes that the English Democrats are the only political party, that is committed to, above all else the preservation of England, English Culture and English Democracy. Anna believes that England’s rich heritage, history and way of live is under attack – by the EU, political correctness and a government that cares more about foreign aid budgets then it does about our own pensioners.
The English Democrats is a fresh approach to politics. Anna believes in reinvigorating our democracy, freedom of speech and in holding elected politicians to their manifesto promises. Teresa wants to see local communities to have a much greater voice in how their areas are managed and to return power to the people of England.
Like 71% of people living in England (according to the 2011 Census), Anna believes his identity to be English not British.

In the latest version on Mr Uncles’ Blog she has come to terms with her name and sexuality and has offered more information on why she left UKIP.

Here is version 2,

Anna Cleve – Malling Central – Tonbridge and Malling District
Anna joined the English Democrats following inappropriate advances from party officials in UKIP in particular a man named Rob.
It is not known if ‘her’ name will be on the ballot papers next week but if ‘she’ were to win it would be interesting to see who is standing on the stage for the declaration.

This raises yet another question. Who wrote these statements?

Normally the candidate writes their own statement, occasionally they may tell someone else what they would like to see in their statement and it is written for them.

Anna Cleves does not seem to exist so where did the ‘information’ in her original statement come from?
After suspicions had been raised regarding ‘her’ existence where did the additional information regarding the UKIP official ‘Rob’ come from?

May we suggest that UKIP consider calling the bluff of the author of the Anna Cleves statement and ask the police to look into the inappropriate behaviour by the UKIP official ‘Rob’, it is doubtful that the party would wish to harbour such a man!

Police Investigate ‘Bogus’ English Democrats candidate(s)!

From ‘KentOnline’

“Police probe English Democrats’ Anna Cleves amid fake candidates claims ahead of Kent County Council elections.

by Stuart Woledge and political editor Paul Francis

Allegations of bogus candidates have prompted police to launch a fraud investigation ahead of next week’s county council elections, it has been revealed.
The right-wing English Democrats are at the centre of the inquiry following a complaint at least one of the nationalist party’s candidates does not appear to exist.”

http://www.kentonline.co.uk/kent_messenger/news/2013/april/26/election_fraud_probe.aspx

“Neither police nor the local authority would confirm exactly how many identities were being probed, but the alleged fraud does not apply to all English Democrats candidates or any other party.”

Steve Uncles is claiming that he was set up and that the ‘EDP candidate’ Anna Cleves was an ‘April Fool’ joke by someone.

If this is true why did he post on his Blog that Anna Cleves joined the EDP after leaving UKIP because of sexual advances from a man he refers to as ‘Rob’?

Also on England Watch, in a reply to our article “Desperate Times for the English Democrats in Kent” he posted;

“There are 25 English Democrats members with accepted nominations in Kent in 2013.”

If she is a ‘joke’ played upon him by others why does he state that she is an English Democrat member?

Not the sort of publicity a serious party would wish for two days ahead of its ‘Day of Action’ in Gravesham!

English Democrats Party Kent Day of Action.

Sunday 27th April is the date of the Kent Day of Action for the County elections.

It isn’t really a ‘Kent day of action’ as all of the activity will take place in the three divisions of Gravesham. Presumably the rest of the EDP candidates in Kent will be busy with their normal day of ‘inaction’.

It is not too long ago that the EDP were promoting Dartford as the party’s target district, this time around they were not even able to field a full slate of candidates. Michael Walters was to have stood in Dartford NE but withdrew saying that there would be no campaign in Dartford.

Gravesham District is divided into three county divisions.

Gravesham Rural returns one councillor.
Gravesham East returns two councillors.
Northfleet & Gravesham West returns two councillors.

The English Democrats is standing one candidate in each division.

EDP history in each of the divisions is as follows.

Gravesham East.
2005 No candidate.
2009 Liz Painter…1425…8.8%
2013 Andrew Mee…

Gravesham Rural.
2005 No candidate.
2009 Steve Foreman…740…10.8%.
2013 Steven Clegg…

Northfleet & Gravesham West.
2005 No candidate.
2009 Lisa Foreman…1178…7.1%
2013 Steven Francis-Weatherall…

Whilst not in the area of action on Sunday, three other divisions that may be worth watching are;

Dartford West
2005 No candidate.
2009 Jo Shipham…1263…26.0%
2013 Milly Uncles…

Sevenoaks Swanley
2005 No candidate.
2009 Steven Uncles…833…22.9%
2013 Steven Uncles…

Sevenoaks NE.
2005 John Marshall…396…4.3%
2009 Louise Uncles…1091…21.0%
2013 Louise Uncles…

In 2009 Jo Shipham in Dartford West won a higher percentage of the popular vote than any other EDP candidate. These are big shoes for young Amelia to try to fill at her first outing as a candidate.

English Democrats Growing Membership!

Ever since 2009 Robin Tilbrook and Steve Uncles have claimed that the EDP has a membership of 3,500 and is growing, as you will see from the extract from his Blog below nothing has changed in 4 years.

The following is from Mr Tilbrook’s Blog.
1.
Anonymous14 April 2013 21:15
If we apply the same criteria to membership as you have just done to the Tories, then using the figures provided your membership is around 700.

Your pressing liabilites are based in Kent as you are no doubt aware 🙂

Not at all our accounts, just about to be published, show that we have over 3,500 paid up members – and growing!

Mr Tilbrook is the party chairman and leader, he will know the figures and from what he says the party accounts will demonstrate the truth of his claim.
If true it begs the question; ‘Why if the membership is 3,500 has the party found it impossible to find even 35 people willing to stand openly, using their own name in the county elections next week.
We are used to candidates in the Monster Raving Looney Party and maybe the Idle Toad Party using fictitious names but it is unknown for a group claiming to be a serious political party to have to resort to these stunts.
In previous years Dartford has been held up as the ‘great hope’ for the EDP, next week the party will not even offer a candidate in all six divisions.
Michael Walters, Chairman of Medway EDP has pulled out of the contest for Dartford NE though two candidates that seem to be living with him, Liz Uncles and Steves Uncle, are still standing in Tonbridge & Malling. (These are not the real names of these people and at this stage we do not intend to print their names or their address).
With 3,500 paid up members it should not have been too difficult to have found a few more people who were not too embarrassed to use their real names in support of the party.
Paper candidate are fine, paper members is just very sad!

A Happy St George’s Day story.

England Watch hopes that all of our readers and those who love England worldwide have had, are having and will have a very Happy St George’s Day.

English nationalists still have quite a way to go to get our Patron saint’s day recognised by those in authority and by the ordinary people in England.
There are still far too few flags flying from buildings and cars but quite a number of pubs, (well the ones that are still open), holding special events, a number of councils and organisations are marking the day and in West Bromwich the Stone Cross St George’s Parade is still the largest in the world.

Many people believe that today should be a national holiday in England and at least one company believes so too.

Doncaster based ‘One Call Insurance’ has given its entire non-emergency staff the day off.

Well done to the bosses there, we believe that other companies should do the same next year.

Maybe if English people knew that companies, such as ‘One Call’, were prepared to put patriotism before profit they would favour such companies over foreign owned firms. If this were publicised it may spur other companies to do the same in future.
